Patricia Hicks graduated from Oxford College in 2002 and Emory University in 2004. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After college, Patricia entered Emory's MAT program and will graduate in the spring of 2005. Her content area is secondary language arts and she hopes to teach high school in the Atlanta area. Patricia enjoys reading, playing soccer and running in her free time. | |

Lisa Higginbotham graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Lyon College. Her area of emphasis was educational research, and she also completed graduate-level coursework in the school psychology program at the University of Georgia. During the 2003-2004 school term, Lisa had a wonderful experience working for Hands On Atlanta/ AmeriCorps at M. Agnes Jones Elementary in Atlanta. She hopes to teach middle school language arts and social studies in the metro Atlanta area. Lisa enjoys spending time with family & friends, running, and reading. | |

Hannah Kim was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Emory University in May 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in educational studies. She is currently in the Master in the Art of Teaching program at Emory University. She hopes to teach fifth grade language arts in an urban setting (hopefully in Atlanta or Chicago.) During her free time, she loves to read and play soccer. | |

Before deciding to teach full-time, Darcy O’Brien-Mitchell worked in community organizing and public policy on poverty issues, tried out editorial work at a magazine, taught SAT preparation classes, and spent a few months learning Spanish in Guatemala. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, and is specializing in secondary English at Emory. In her free time, she enjoys cooking Southwest cuisine and listening to live music with her husband. | |

Brandy Williams completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at Emory University. As an undergraduate, she focused on psychology, English, and social studies. Her educational focus for middle grades certification is English as her primary area and social studies as her secondary area. She is a enthusiastic music lover and enjoys spending time with family and friends. | |
